Yuri Hwang (b. 2001) is a media-object artist, focused on the digital image and its frame of the screen.  Her work explores the compression and consumption of culture online through templates; questioning the contemporary urge to see quickly and in excess. With her interest in the increasingly transactional language of interactions today, Hwang adopts the position of an average online user in her practice: governed by the contemporary commandments of grids and pixels.
